The Gray Area is a place for Chris Gray and his associates to write about what they want. There is a lot of bias in the media and we wanted a venue to be free from it all. Editors force writers to make changes, which can drastically change an entire story. This causes some writers to sometimes lose their love of writing or the pride of a job well done. It may also hinder a writer’s motivation to write.
Further, writers often do not have an opportunity to write about the things that they want to write about. For example, Chris likes watching trials, which is relatively boring to most people. There are not a lot of places where he can write about trials and publish his work. And if he chooses to work for such a publisher, he may not also be able to publish articles about politics. The reason is that he will be in the public eye at that time and his employer may not like his opinions on politics. But if he has his own venue, then he can write what he wants to write.
About Gray Area Technologies LLC
Gray Area Technologies LLC was formed to sell digital video game equipment in early 2020. COVID-19 was taking the world by storm at this time and many people were transitioning to working at home. But Chris was already sidelined at home with six herniated discs that never seemed to heal, coupled with an autoimmune disease. Instead of becoming a burden for taxpayers, he was looking for other ways to generate an income. But the chronic pain was not allowing him to focus or concentrate enough to write anything worthwhile. The digital video game gear sales brought in just enough income to get by.
But in early 2021 the video game company that Chris was working with began moving more and more towards a position of being greedy as opposed to caring about customer service. As a philosopher who believes in ethics, Chris decided that the money he was making was not worth helping a company that did not care about its customers. So he made the move to drop the video game sales and find alternate means of income again. The move would hurt him financially, but the disgust that he felt by helping such a company was not worth it to him.
Luckily a non-opiate migraine medication came along and began allowing Chris to focus and concentrate again. He quickly became a sports writer and began writing again. This taught him how to use the tools of the online publishing trade. He was already the owner of the grayarea.me domain, which he previously purchased. Now he has the venue to write about whatever he wants. The rest is history.
